As of March 1, 2010, Texas law requires persons from 18 to 24 years of age who wish to obtain a driver's license to successfully complete a six hour driver education course exclusively for adults. However, any adult can take the course, regardless of your age. You will also receive the privilege of taking the WRITTEN DPS test on site with three chances to pass the test.

If you  stay in the East texas Area and take the on-line course and finish on the same day you can come by the driving school and pick up your certificate. But you must call us at 903-927-2377 so we will not mail it.

$100 dollars CASH ONLY in- person
These are the steps you take if you want to come in person:
Step 1: Must be here to register for the class by 8:45am.
Step 2: Must bring one form of id with you to attend class.  
Step 3: Mandatory that you stay the entire 6 hours.
Step 4: After class you will be given a ADE 1317 form to show proof you have taken the class. Now, you will also need an original birth certificate and social security card before you will be allowed to take your driving test at the DPS office.
Step 5: You can also get a learners permit if you need driving lessons; just let the DPS office know this what you will like to do.

The cost for your driver license is $25.00      
Driving Permits are $25.00 for adults also; then when you come back to get your license it is an additional $11.00

These classes are taught on Saturdays from 9:00am till 3:30pm  at East Texas Driving School.  Cost is $100.00 (cash only) for the 6 hour course. 
You can also pay an additional $50.00 for us to teach you how to parellel park in you own vehicle.   

 ETDS offers driving lessons for adults who do not know how to drive. The prices are as follows:

$250.00 for 5 hours 
$350.00 for 7hours
